Tanah Lot Temple

Tanah Lot Temple is one of Bali’s most important landmarks, famed for its unique offshore setting and sunset backdrops. An ancient Hindu shrine perched on top of an outcrop amidst constantly crashing by waves .

Tanah Lot also is a name of village in Tabanan regency and become a popular tourist destination for overseas and domestic tourist. Pura (temple) Tanah Lot is one of icon Bali island due to it does have cultural significance to the Balinese, and it's become popular for the spectacular sunset view. The best time to see the sunset is on 6:00pm. 

Tanah lot for the Balinese Hindu, is one of important temple along with some temples on the south coast of Bali Island such as Pura Perancak, Rambut Siwi, Petitenget and Uluwatu Temple at the tip of the southern Bukit Peninsula. All those temples  closely associated with the holy Majapahit priest Nirartha.  Tanah Lot itself you may just see from distance when the high tide, but when low tide tourist will be able to get close to the temple but the tourist is not allowed to enter the temple since it's only for Balinese that praying when te ceremoy held in the temple.
